Destin Outdoor Kitchens (destinoutdoorkitchen.com) is an independent planning resource for homeowners in and around Destin, FL. The site publishes information and passes homeowners' requests to independent local contractors. Destin Outdoor Kitchens does not perform the work described on this site.
This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and who receives it. In this policy, "Destin Outdoor Kitchens" and "we" mean the site and the operator of this website.
Information collected
- What you enter in the request form: your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), answers to any project questions, and your message. With each request the site also records the consent wording you were shown, whether you checked the optional automated-contact box, the page address, the date and time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string.
- Calls to the site's phone number: the calling number, the time, the length of the call, and how it was connected. Calls are not recorded.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views, referring pages, clicks on phone links, browser and device type, and approximate location (country or region). It does not use cookies to identify you.
The site does not use advertising cookies, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking.
How the information is used
- To pass your request to an independent local contractor so they can contact you about your project.
- To keep a record of each request and the consent given with it.
- To filter spam and abuse.
- To see which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who receives it
Independent local contractors. A request sent through the form goes to an independent local contractor serving the area, who may contact you by phone, text, or email about your project. Calls to the site phone number may be forwarded to that contractor. Contractors may pay Destin Outdoor Kitchens for referrals. Once a contractor has your information, that contractor's own privacy practices apply to it.
Service providers that run the site:
- Supabase, which stores form submissions and call records.
- Resend, which sends the email notifications about new requests.
- Twilio, which connects calls to the site phone number and receives any texts sent to it.
- Vercel, which hosts the site and provides its analytics.
They handle the information only to provide those services.
Legal reasons. Information may be disclosed when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of people who use the site.
Mobile numbers and text messages. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in information are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The only exception is the contractor who receives your request.
Automated calls and texts
The request form has a separate checkbox for automated or prerecorded calls and texts. It is optional and unchecked by default, and sending a request does not depend on it. If you checked it, the contractor may call or text you using automated technology or prerecorded messages. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or ask the contractor to stop calling.
How long information is kept
Requests and their consent records are kept as long as they are needed for the purposes above. Consent records can be needed for several years to answer questions about calls or texts. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Seeing, correcting, or deleting your information
To ask what information the site holds about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email info@destinoutdoorkitchen.com. Requests are answered within 30 days. A contractor that already received your request holds its own copy; ask that contractor directly to delete it.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. The site does not respond to it differently, because it does not track visitors across other websites, and it does not allow third parties to collect information about your activity across websites over time.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent information through the site, use the contact route above and it will be deleted.
Security
Reasonable technical measures protect the information the site stores. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes are noted at the top of the page.
